SERIE 10 K

The Joy of Riding

1998

Oil on canvas

36”x24”

Inspired by my wife and

the Tepoztlan’s surroundings,

this agile and playful creature

goes for a ride with an angel.

Water Atraction

1998

Oil on canvas

36”x36”

I wanted to swim,

something stopped me.

Sud Ostro

1996

Oil on canvas

24”x18”

I had just read “The Island of

the day before” and liked

both the book’s cover and

the concept of having what

we desire so close but are

unable to obtain.

The Ilusion of going up

1998

Oil on linen

40”x30”

Are we really moving forward?

Are we moving up?

Or is it only the feeling,

the illusion of moving up that

we need?

Where is up anyway?

Where is the end of the road?

Can you see it?

Tension

1993

Oil on canvas

60”x24”

There was some tension

going on in my life

at that point in time.

Loving the Wind

1998

Oil on canvas

40”x30”

I was working on another

painting when a strong image

of a tree came to my mind.

I turned immediately and

started to work on "Loving

the Wind."

Sensuality came as I worked.

Homage to Juan

1998

Acrylic and oil on canvas

24”x30”

Juan was a good friend of

mine who flew away from

my life.
He is that bird

on the top left.

Impulse

1998

Oil on canvas

40”x 30”

From the inner self;

the impulse represents

the wanting, the desire.

Future

1998

Oil on linen

40”x 30”

I wanted to convey the

idea of an open future

full of possibilities like

an open field where

I could run.

Envy

1998

Oil on linen

40”x 30”

The envious bird tries

to kill the beautiful

free bird and ends up

hurting her.

When things go well

1999

Oil on linen

40”x 30”

He has figured out how

to make gold from air.

Now what?

Next step

1999

Oil on linen

40”x 30”

I just didn’t know what

was the next thing to do

in my life. There is my

right foot's print clouded

out and my left one is

lifted up in the air...

Forbidden Pasion

1999

Oil on linen

40”x 30”

It’s right there,

delicious and passionate

but out of reach.

Protected.

Two Trunked Tree

2001

Oil on linen

40”x 30”

Do you take the short, wide

and clear road or the narrow

at-times-not-visible road?

Maybe you decide to stay in

front of the two trunked tree

contemplating the choices.

Mouse

2001

Oil on linen

40”x 30”

I think that mice play

a mental game with me.

Their objective is not

to get into my apartment,

but to get into my mind.

In 2001, they succeeded.

A New Life

Oil on Linen

60"x30"

Blue Mountains

2001

Oil on linen

40”x 30”

I saw a Leonardo Da Vinci’s

painting in Arezzo.

The mountains were of an

unreal blue. I was happy.

It was like he gave me

permission to paint the

mountains as blue

as I wanted.
I loved it.
